LISLE, Ill. - The Thunder and the Bandits squared off tonight for the series finale. Amy Harre took the mound for Chicago while Cat Osterman started in the circle for Rockford.
Throughout the first three innings of play both teams struggled to make anything happen on offense with the exception of a single by Serena Settlemier.
Thunder bats rumbled in the fourth when Mackenzie Vandergeest rattled a two run homerun. Amanda Freed followed with a single through the left field side. Settlemier continued the hitting trend and cranked an RBI double to right center.
Cat Osterman silenced Bandit bats for the most part of the game allowing only 2 hits on the night. Those hits came courtesy of a Stacy May line drive double and a Jaime Clark single.
This loss brings the Bandits record to 6-10 on the season while upping Rockfords record to 12-4. The orange and black will be hitting the road for their next four game series against the New England Riptide on June 21st.
