Washington, PA- July 26, 2014 - The Chicago Bandits cruised to a 17-1 defeat of the Pennsylvania Rebellion, presented by The Coury Financial Group, Saturday at CONSOL Energy Park.

Bandits’ infielder Cheyenne Coyle outstanding offensive performance was highlighted by four RBIs on two hits for Chicago. She doubled in the sixth and smacked a grand slam in the seventh.

After an hour and 30 minute rain delay, the Bandits poured on ten runs in the first three innings to go in front 10-0.

Nonetheless, Rebellion pitcher Angel Bunner had a spectacular defensive highlight in the bottom of the first inning as the starter made a sensational live drive grab off the bat of Chicago’s Amber Patton for an inning-ending double play.

Furthermore, Rebellion rookie shortstop Kourtney Salvarola, a University of South Florida graduate, earned her first professional hit with a line drive single in the bottom of the second.  Pennsylvania scored their only run of the contest courtesy of an RBI single from Lauren Lappin that plated Jennifer Salling.

With a comfortable 10-1 lead, Bandits starting pitcher Kristen Verdun collected her fifth RBI of the season as a sacrifice fly put the visitors at an 11-1 advantage. A leadoff solo home run by Jessica Bracamonte and four more runs in the seventh lifted the Bandits to the 17-1 victory.
