ROSEMONT, Ill. -- The Chicago Bandits have announced that outfielder Emily Friedman is retiring from National Pro Fastpitch competition.
Friedman batted .304 in 138 at-bats last season with 22 runs, 42 hits, six doubles, six home runs and 19 RBIs. Her average was good for fourth in the NPF. Her on-base percentage (.359) and slugging percentage (.478) ranked sixth.
Friedman played five seasons in the NPF, four with the Philadelphia Force and one with the Chicago Bandits where she had her best season in her career.
